Attention OPM Retirees

February 7, 2013

January 2013 was the last time the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) will mail 1099-R Tax Statements to annuitants.

Effective in January 2014, 1099-R tax statements will be on the OPM website. You can go to the website to view and print your 1099R. To do this you will need to log on to Services Online which requires a password. If you need a new password, go to www.ServicesOnline.OPM.gov and select the “Forgot Password” link.

Visit Services Online at www.ServicesOnline.OPM.gov to: view your annuity statement, change your mailing and direct deposit address, change your tax withholding and to manage your retirement account. It is safe, secure and easy to use. You can provide your e-mail address when logging on to receive periodic e-mail updates with important information.

For clarification: OPM is the servicing agency for Federal civil service retirements. The Defense and Accounting Service (DFAS) is the servicing agency for Guard and AGR retirements.
